In response to Rotary International's Literacy Project, the Branford Rotary Club is proud to participate in the Dictionary Project where over 4,627,935 children have received a dictionary thanks to the generosity of sponsors, including Rotary Clubs worldwide. This is the Branford Rotary Club's 2nd year in providing a dictionary for the children in our community, so they can enjoy the benefits of a large vocabulary. The goal of the Dictionary Project is to assist all students in completing the school year as good writers, active readers and creative thinkers by providing students with their own personal dictionary. Starting in 2005, dictionaries were given by the Branford Rotary Club to all 3rd grade students in our community to use at school and at home for years to come. We are proud to continue to support the Dictionary Project. |
